Precisely on the 10th anniversary of ALPA Capaul & Weber, a book by the American sociologist-philospher Richard Sennett has been published. The book, incidentally, does not contain a single picture. But it has now added an overarching cultural, historical and philosophical background that allows us to start into the next decade with continuing strongly-felt craftsman's pride, intellectually more solidly supported than ever.

The ALPA 12 platform is also very capable for large stitches. Be it cylindrical or tiled the high-end lenses from Schneider and Rodenstock and high-end digital backs allow gathering impressive pictures. Especially the ALPA 12 XY is predestined for stitches. But this technique also offers new ways to generate high volume data pictures from smaller sensors with all the models from the ALPA 12 platform.
